Hi I'm Eric Rodriguez...

I started my auto detailing in 2010. I was bankrupt after losing everything during the 2008 Recession. I was unemployed and unable to find a decent job that would pay me enough to take care of my family. I was forced to start washing cars. I finally saved up enough money to buy some cheap auto detailing supplies. That's when I founded my small auto detailing business, and set out to achieve the American Dream of Business Ownership.

There was one major problem though…
I didn’t have any real business experience or any money saved. Yes, you read that right. I started a auto detailing business without any real business experience or extra money saved.

That’s the thing about me, I figure out how to make things work. I started doing auto details for friends and family and started making a little money. That grew into working for small independent used car dealerships. I was working long hours, running my body into the ground, washing, compounding, waxing and vacuuming dirty, smelly, beat up cars and making less than $20 an hour. 
I was newly married, with a newborn. We were on food stamps, medicaid, and were living with my mother in a 2 Bedroom Senior Citizens Apartment. 

Something had to change. So I refocused and started looking at other ways to make money. I began studying sales and marketing. My mind was opened to a whole new world of possibilities, and I was excited to start intentionally promoting my auto detailing skills and services.
The trouble was, I didn’t really have much experience to handle the large volume of cars from big dealerships. It was hard finding good quality help. My wife would come out and help me work on cars because I could not rely on anyone else. 

Eventually, we began to find some momentum, until one day, we lost our biggest account to another larger experienced competitor.

That was it for me, I wanted out of the business. 

There seemed to be no loyalty in the car business. Thankfully, my wife calmed me down. We curiously spoke with the dealership manager about him letting us go and he told us, the only reason he went with the other company was because they were including "paint chip work" into their details.
It was something that we were not aware how to do. 

We were total beginners and were learning as we went along.

By this time I had gained enough compounding and polishing skills that I wanted to go after the BIG Money in Aircraft Detailing. I found a training facility, went and stayed there for a week and learned the Aircraft Detailing Business. 

The total investment was about $7,500.00. But it was worth every penny. The Aircraft Detailing Business pays very, very well, but it requires high liability insurance and can be time demanding and labor intensive. I quickly learned it was not the business that I wanted to be in for too long.

After working on a few aircraft, I was much more confident in my detailing skills, so I began to approach higher end luxury dealerships, like Porsche, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Mercedes, BMW, etc.. As my skills improved, so did my popularity and business.
One day, a high end luxury client asked me if I could do a paint touch up repair. Having used a paint pen before I said yes. The paint pen he purchased from the dealership was difficult to use. The client was not satisfied. He asked if I knew of a way to conceal the rock chips on his luxury vehicle without having to bring the car to the auto-body shop. After all it was only about 6 or 7 rock chips on the hood and bumper.I was frustrated and embarrassed. I bought a few different training, did a bunch of research but nothing seemed to work for me the way I need it to. Since that day back in 2011, I aggressively began to study everything about automotive paint and paint chemistry trying different methods and formulations. It took me several long years and many failed attempts in order to develop a truly profitable spray-less mobile automotive paint chip repair system that would change the way I would do auto detailing forever.

 
After over 10,000 automobiles serviced, I have a brand, not just a business. I don't wash, polish or vacuum cars anymore. Using my very own proven cosmetic spray-less paint chip system I've owned and operated several auto reconditioning business in 7 different states specializing in automotive rock chip repair to only used car dealership. I've coached and trained dozens of dealerships, employees, and contractors and even created a few partnerships all related to auto reconditioning at the dealership level. 

Our love for sales and marketing grew as we closed more deals, earned more money, and gained back more our time. In 2018, we began learning online sales and marketing because we wanted to start an online business so we could travel the world. Our lives have changed so much since 2010, Today, we are debt free, have 3 children, and travel often. I attribute it all to the failures, the learned skills and hard experiences that I've gained as a professional detailer, business owner, coach, and now online sales and marketing strategist.

Do You Offer Protected Territories?

Is it hard to do these type of cosmetic paint chip repairs? 
 It really depends on what you mean by HARD. It requires moderate physical activity and movement.The work is not intended to be hard, with the right training a 16 year old can easily do this type of work. 

Do I have to use a paint code to color match paint?

How Do I Make Money? 
 In short, You make really good money making nice cars look better working at used car dealerships within your community. 

Why cant the dealerships do this type of work themselves? 
Great question, Dealerships Make Most of Their Money through financing and service departments. They don't invest much in their detailing department and they don't pay well. Most dealership detailing departments are just glorified car washes.

Do I Need Any Prior Working Experience? 
No experience required, We've trained a variety of people from all walks of life, from women, to young adults, to older male retired veterans.  It will help you tremendously if you enjoy being outdoors, working with your hands, can speak nicely to used car managers, and have a honest character and strong work ethic.

Do I Need Expensive Vehicle or Tools?

Can I Do This Part Time?
